Everyone seems to mention 'no frills' and they're right, but the lodge has real charm, perfect location and great staff. Folks - enjoy it while you can. One day there'll be a Marriott on this site, and you'll have to take out a separate mortgage to stay there. Very good Continental breakfast with an extraordinary room service is unexplainable. Knowledge about the local transport and places by the Manager Jason helped me lot during the stay. I have such happy memories of them and their wonderful family, and it's great to see all the kids grown up with kids of their own! I love the laid-back environment -- people chill out around the fire every night, it's really communal -- and the rustic surroundings, and how it's close enough to Main Street but not so close you can't get away from the craziness of the festival. I can't afford the trip to Sundance this year, but if I could I'd be staying at the Chateau. (And big ups on not gouging during the festival!)
